As the one of the premier venues for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Aquatic Centre was the site of many memorable moments in sporting history, including many world records that were set in its state-of-the-art pool. To celebrate the Centre and its achievements, an exhibition titled Dive Into History was commissioned to showcase the fantastic history and continuing legacy of the venue.
Transforming what was a drab, functional thoroughfare in the Aquatic Centre was no mean feat. Utilising large scale graphics and a liberal use of tones of blue to tie it all together, a modern yet simple concept was developed to allow the showcasing of striking imagery and memorabilia from the history of not only the Centre, but of Australian Swimming, Diving & Watersports through the years.
