PITCH TO RICH
Virgin Media Business’ nationwide competition, Pitch to Rich is a competition to find and support Britain’s brightest businesses with an unprecedented £1million prize fund up for grabs. The competition invites start-ups and innovators from across the UK to pitch their ideas to Richard Branson himself, along with a esteemed panel of successful entrepreneurs in order to win prizes in three categories; Start-up, New things and Grow.
To support their above the line campaign, a social media strategy was developed to drive participation and awareness of the competition, as well as media coverage. Over 685,000 votes were cast in order to select the nine entrepreneurs to compete in the final, underlining the strength of feeling for small businesses across the United Kingdom.
Creative was generated for several stages of the campaign, from driving interest and excitement using teasers directed to VMB's existing followers, offering potential competition participants tips to make their pitches successful and generating awareness in regional cities regarding the roadshow that would bring the competition to their very doorstep.
