Realstar Living is the UK arm of the award-winning Canadian residential group that aims to put the living back into renting.
The company provides high quality apartments in some of London’s most sought-after areas, offering furnished or unfurnished spaces, with flexible leases to gives its residents peace of mind and greater flexibility. Realstar also seeks to ensure that its residents’ needs – big or small – are always taken care of by onsite Resident Managers.
To coincide with several new developments being launched, Realstar was looking to create an online presence that captured its fresh approach to the rental market as well as the variety of properties on offer - from cosy student apartments in London's newly gentrified East-end, to more luxurious family properties in the West.
Initial research highlighted 2 key user insights;
1. That users were primarily driven by Location first when searching for a property, and
2. That users were buying into not just a place to live, but a lifestyle
These insights inspired the creation of site features like interactive maps that allowed users an alternate way to navigate between properties, as well as drove the content strategy in which we focused on
Because of the diversity of their properties (and their respective target markets), the client wanted the Realstar branding to take almost a back seat, and allow the individual properties to shine on the site. We created a clean and simple 'shell' that subtly echoed the brand colours but didn't compete with personality of each of the properties
